For everyone, there is a special person who made a difference in their life. For sportswriter
Mitch Albom, it is former professor, Morrie Schwartz. After a 16 year separation, the pair
journey down a path in which an older man passes lessons of life on to the younger man,
who will always remember his Tuesdays with Morrie.

THE CAST

CLYDE MARTIN (Morrie Schwartz) has graced the stages of many area theatres. At Jewel Box, he has run the gamut in such shows as Money Matters and Bullshot Crummond to such memorable characters as Norman Thayer in On Golden Pond, Saunders in Lend Me a Tenor, Col. Pickering in My Fair Lady and as Uncle Henry in Summerstock’s The Wizard of Oz last summer. A recipient of the Bill Crawford Memorial Media in the Arts Award, Clyde has been opera host for KCSC 90.1 FM in Edmond since 1969. Retired from the Oklahoma City Library system, he continues to be a very busy working actor. He is the recipient of 4 Gem Awards for Something’s Afoot, Never Too Late, Dial ‘M’ for Murder and Bullshot Crummond. |

BARRETT DAVIDSON (Mitch Albom) returns
to the Jewel Box Theatre having spent
the last 10 years in Los Angeles. While in
LA, he enjoyed playing such roles as
Willum in The Nerd, Manolo in The Odd
Couple (Female Version), and Ellard in The Foreigner, which earned him a Best Supporting Actor Award. Jewel Box audiences may remember him as Mortimer in The Fantasticks, Sam Weinberg in A Few Good Men, Clifford in Deathtrap and King Philip in The Lion in Winter, for which he won the Best Featured Actor Gem Award. Barrett and his wife, Julia, are currently working on their production company’s first film. He would like to thank her for all her love and support and also thank Chuck Tweed and the Jewel Box Theatre for welcoming them back. |
THE CREW
CHARLES TWEED (Director) has been Jewel Box
Production Director for 29 years and Artistic Director for
Summerstock in Edmond for 5 years. He has performed
with the Philharmonic and will direct both Nunsense and
Lend Me a Tenor for our 50th season! Chuck has won 8
Best Play Gems and 3 Best Actor Gems and will direct
West Side Story for Summerstock June 28 - July 7 for six
performances in Mitch Park. During his 28 years as a
drama teacher in the Mid-Del school district, he was
twice named Teacher of the Year. Chuck is looking
forward to the incredible 50th season! |
JAMES GORDON (Stage Manager) opened the
season as Stage Manager for Someone to Love. A
past Volunteer of the Year, he stage managed Urning It and has been on stage in such shows as
South Pacific, 1776, Dames at Sea, The Sound of
Music and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. |
| RITA ALLEN (Props) found all the unusual props for Dark of the Moon and has worked up to 3 shows a season! She received the Best Featured Actress Gem Award for Moon Over Buffalo, won the 2005 Mary Wilber Appreciation Award and is a past Volunteer of the Year. Rita is a true Jewel Box Gem! |
CHARLOTTE ROSE (Costumes) has costumed the entire season,
receiving rave reviews for her work on Dark of the Moon
and Greater Tuna. She has appeared in film, commercials,
and industrials and has been the costume designer, and/or
make-up artist for many area theaters. |
